I'm sure we all listen to different music, and this is a thread for the sake of sharing that. I've been looking for more songs to listen to, in particular to write to. Music as we all know, can be a huge inspiration.
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of songs from Florence and The Machine. One of which I will link here. Feel free to post links to the song, whatever bit of information you want to, and even lyrics.
I can't post links up yet to the site, until 7 days are up, but the song is called "Howl"- Florence and The Machine.
Lyrics:
If you could only see the beast you've made of me, I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free. Screaming in the dark, I howl when we're apart; Drag my teeth across your chest to taste your beating heart!
My fingers claw your skin, try to tear my way in. You are the moon that breaks the night for which I have to howl! My fingers claw your skin, try to tear my way in, You are the moon that breaks the night for which I have to-
Howl, howl Howl, howl
Now there's no holding back, I'm making to attack! My blood is singing with your voice, I want to pour it out. The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound. I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallow'ed ground!
Like some child possessed, the beast howls in my veins: I want to find you, tear out all of your tenderness.
And howl, howl Howl, howl
Be careful of the curse that falls on young lovers; Starts so soft and sweet and turns them to hunters.
The fabric of your flesh, pure as a wedding dress. Until I wrap myself inside your arms I cannot rest. The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound! I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallow'ed ground!
And howl
Be careful of the curse that falls on young lovers; Starts so soft and sweet and turns them to hunters.
A man who's pure of heart and says his prayers by night, May still become a wolf when the autumn moon is bright.
If you could only see the beast you've made of me! I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free! The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound! I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallow'ed ground!

Gaelic Storm - Devil down below
It's... not a song people listen to often but it's pretty damn catchy. Let me find a link...
One Your persistance of vision does not come without great sacrifice. Let go of the tangible mass of your mind. It is only and illusion. There is no scape, though the soul burn on everlasting encapsulated within infinite time. A thousand year journey in the blink of an eye. Humanity is dust within humility's grip Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Ten
I offer you the emptiness which you seek...
One. Let go of the tangible mass of your mind. It is only an illusion.
Yeah, I like dark music. It appeals to me. Like Quixotic and I were talking about, darkly beautiful!

I love those songs. Whenever I hear "Devil down below", it makes me want to dance. xD This song reminds me of a blessing, or a prayer.
Sleepsong
Lay down your head, and I'll sing you a lullaby; back to the years of loo-lee-li-lay and I'll sing you to sleep, and I'll sing you to 'morrow, bless you with love, for the road that you go.
May you sail fair to the far fields of fortune, with diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet and may you need never to banish misfortune may you find kindness, in all that you need.
May there always be angels to watch over you, to guide you each step of the way! To guard you, and keep you safe from all harm;
Loo-lee-loo-lee-li-lay
May you bring love and may you bring happiness; be loved in return, to the end of your days. Now, fall off to sleep, I'm not meaning to keep you; I'll just sit for a while, and sing
loo-lee-li-lay
May there always be angels to watch over you; to guide you each step of the way. To guard you, and keep you safe from all harm.
Loo-lee-loo-lee-li-lay Loo-lee-loo-lee-li-lay

It's nearly impossible for me to pick a 'favorite' from the soundtrack for this movie, so this song will do.
Composed by the ever-masterful Clint Mansell, The First Snow conveys the deeply layered emotions that so define the film 'The Fountain', and I hope you all like it.

That's a great find, Con'. o.o I'll have to see if I can download that soundtrack... still need to see the movie. x_x
I still find this song strangely compelling.

Intense...
Buuuuuuuttt I'm gonna leave this here.
Looking down at this barren land, Once known as home before, Destruction, all the world, It's an ending we have brought...
The world we wrote a million times before! And what we allowed to break this all down... The world we broke a million times before! What should have been stunned is now all struck dumb...
Cities, they fell, life's a choke, A bittersweet warning's took for a joke, We spend days, Spent in a haze, Look from our factories into our graves, They must know... That they're so close to bringing nothing! So they show... They've brought success at bringing nothing.
The world we wrote a million times before! And what we allowed to break this all down... The world we broke a million times before! What should have been stunned is now all struck dumb...
Struck dumb!
Still looking down at this broken land, What's grass has turned to sand, Hindsight's broke- sky is smoke! We've passed this point of doubt... They must know, that they're so close to bringing nothing! So they show they've brought success at bringing nothing...
The world we wrote a million times before! And what we allowed to break this all down... The world we broke a million times before! What should have been stunned is now all struck dumb...
